"There you go, camel, with your lipstick . . . smch, smch, smch," (making kissing noises). For a while Julia continues to paint quietly.
Suddenly she exclaims, "It's got another head! Ah, God, it's got ANOTHER head!"
She works on, humming softly.
"They're footprintses . . ." (breaking into sing-song) "and they're different colours. And it's it's two heads. And it's it's lipstick on. And it's it's IM!"
Putting her brush triumphantly back in the paint pot, she turns to face the room.
