'This Is Your Life', edited by David Mitchell, a self-confessed fan, is an entertaining collection of the well known and loved Australians who appeared on the television series of the same name.
There are approximately 90 personalities and achievers, from 'Weary' Dunlop to Garry McDonald. They represent the sports, media and entertainment, and have all contributed something important to Australia and Australians. Each tribute is a snap shot of the personality and gives the key to what makes them tick. It provides a brief history, comments by family, friends and colleagues who appeared on the program and photos.
There is a foreword by Bryce Courtenay plus a history of 'This Is Your Life', from when it began in America and then Britain in the 1950s, until it finally made its appearance in Australia in 1975.
