Where does money come from? How does the financial system work? Twenty Red Lights is a photographic reflection on modern capitalism and global financial economy, issues that have rarely been rigorously addressed from an artistic and critical perspective. In each of these 20 photographs (20 red lights) the Spanish photographer and economist Max de Esteban tackles a key concept in contemporary finances. Concepts that might seem technical, but hold important ideological and philosophical ideas, as analysed in the three accompanying essays.
