Thomas Pearson is dead. Reed can hardly believe it, yet she just attended his funeral and ate crudite in his classic eight apartment on the Upper East Side.
Now back at Easton her life as a Billings Girl is in turmoil. Noelle is being what borders on nice, which is totally bizarre, Taylor can't make it through an hour without bursting into tears, Kiran is spiking every beverage she consumes, and Ariana is acting as if nothing could be more normal. And then there's Josh.
Thanksgiving break comes and leaves Reed and Josh alone with the teachers and a handful of other students. And the feelings they've been having for each other come to one conclusions: an all-out make out session in Josh's new single room.
