Frida Hughes was born in London in 1960. She has spent some of her time living and working in Australia. Since studying art, she has exhibited her work in Britain, the U.S and Australia. A talented writer as well as an artist, she has received international acclaim for writing and painting.
She has published seven children's books, the most recent being 'Three Scary Stories' and has two collections of poetry, 'Wooroloo' and 'Stonepicker'. Both collections have also been published in the UK and US.
