The town of Bishop Mayne has a magical wishing well that will grant people one wish per lifetime. Few townspeople dare to use their wishes, however, for wishes often go wrong. Just such a wish has emptied the village of children, except Nuria, who lives outside the town with her grandfather. To bring the other children back, Nuria's grandfather makes a wish, and one girl, Catty, returns. Catty's legs are mysteriously crippled. When Nuria makes a wish to cure Catty, the wish gives each girl the body of the other. Can Nuria find a way to revoke the wish?
