Little Agnes Peregrine has a special talent: She can call birds, all kinds of birds. She becomes so famous that the World Bird Society votes to send her and her ornitholgist mother to the Himalayas, in search of the rarest, most elusive bird of all: the pink-headed duck. But unbeknownst to them, Colonel Edwin Pittsnap - bird hunter and stuffer - tags along, intending to bring back the duck as a trophy.
On the slopes, Agnes spots the duck . . . Pittsnap lunges . . . the duck is his! But when Agnes caws, and birds from everywhere come to her rescue, Pittsnap finds himself dropping the duck on a mad dash home.
