The book features specially commissioned stories from Australia's best known journalists including Ray Martin, Laurie Oakes, Derryn Hinch, Peter Harvey and Hugh Rimington. It also includes forwards by both Rupert Murdoch and Kerry Packer.
The accompanying DVD is hosted by newsreader Jo Hall and features rarely seen footage from the newsrooms of the Nine Network - including a young Brian Henderson, Brian Naylor, Jim Waley and Peter Harvey reporting on an array of news stories from Harold Holt to Azaria Chamberlain.
