White Death

FBI Special Agent Franco Patrese's expertise is tested to the limit when he's drafted in to advise on a series of murders among the elite of US society. A killer with a particularly playful imagination is targeting Ivy League colleges, leaving a trail of decapitated bodies in his wake.
The only thing connecting the victims apart from their level of education is the tarot cards left next to their bodies. They even cross race lines, with as many black students being killed as white.It's a huge media story and the pressure is on to find the killer, quickly.
Patrese notices an odd anomaly: the white students are killed in a slightly different way from the black students. It seems that there is not just one killer at work, but two. They are pitting their wits not only against the FBI and the most elite academic institutions in the country, but against each other in a macabre game that requires the deftest of intellectual moves.
The killers could be any two of many eminent professors. Even an agent as experienced as Franco Patrese might have to admit he's met his match. And when he receives his own tarot card - the fool - it looks as if his own murder could be part of the game plan...
