Ever since she fell off a pony, Shona has been terribly afraid of horses. She will never ride again - and nothing's going to change her mind.
But then she goes on holiday, and something amazing happens. A ghostly stallion appears - a fearless, proud and beautiful creature called Whistlejacket. But Whistlejacket is imprisoned and in pain. He has lost his beloved master, and he desperately needs Shona's help.
